Abstract
Seven cases in four families presenting lattice dystrophy of the cornea are described. Examination revealed an ill-defined central corneal opacity accompanied with peripheral fine lattice patterns in 4 cases. A 6-year-old girl presented corneal erosion without the development of lattice lines. Frequent attacks of corneal erosion intervened in the evolution of the disease in all cases. Four of the families derived from a town named Kira-cho, in Aichi prefecture.
