Abstract

A 38-year-woman in her 40 th week of gestation developed acute myocardial infarction. Emergent coronary angiography was performed at a near-by community hospital, which revealed total mid-LAD occlusion. Reperfusion was achieved by means of angioplasty. Then, she was transferred to our hospital. She was taken to CCU and careful maternal and fetal monitoring was carried out. At eleven hours, she started labor. And at fourteen hours, she delivered a healthy baby vaginally. In this circumstance, distinctive considerations regarding the reperfusion therapy and other pharmacological issues are mandatory. Scrupulous collaboration between the obstetric team and the cardiologists is also important.
