A Case of Systemic Scleroderma with Triple Cancers

Abstract

A 54-year old woman was referred to our clinic in December 1998 because of the finger swelling and skin thickening of the neck, arms, legs and abdominal region. She had had the operation of mastocarcinoma in October 1997 and of ovarium carcinoma in April 1998. Sclerotic skin and finger swelling improved with oral corticosteroid and systemic PUVA treatment. In March 1999, thrombocytopenia, lever dysfunction and stomach symptom occurred. General examinations disclosed gastoric cancer and its metastasis to the liver. On 20th of April 2000, the patient died of DIC associated with malignant tumors.
