Abstract

Neutophils play a pivotal role in the antibacterial host defense system. Atenoiol, labetalol, esmolol, and landiolol at clinically relevant concentrations failed to change neutrophil functions. Our findings indicate that we may be able to use these β-antagonists without great caution in clinical settings.
