Abstract

Clinical efficacy and safety of cefluprenam (CFLP) were evaluated in 11 patients with respiratory infections. CFLP were administered intravenously 0.5g or 1.0g twice daily. The duration of treatment ranged from 4 to 17 days. Clinical efficacy was excellent in 4, good in 6 and poor in one patient. Skin rash was observed in 1 patient, and abnormal laboratory findings were observed in 2 patients. The results suggest that CFLP is useful for treatment of respiratory infections.
