Abstract

Physical signs are important elements in the diagnosis of thyroid cancer on which much have been written. However, little has been reported on the statistical significance of each sign. If a physical sign that increases the likelihood of thyroid cancer is detected, a sonogram examination and a fine needle aspiration biopsy are recommended. Here we discuss which physical signs and observation of the thyroid will indicate the likelihood of cancer.
