Abstract

In this research, an electrochemical glucose biosensor is reported, which is the first reported 2nd generation enzymatic glucose biosensor using the artificial mediator and paper-based laser-induced graphene (PaperLIG) with a 3-electrode configuration. With the application of a miniaturized electrochemical analyzing system (miniEAS), the prepared 3-PaperLIG glucose biosensor shows a linear range between 0.5 and 3 mM for glucose level in PBS with good linearity (R2=0.988). The LOD for this glucose biosensor is around 100-250 μM. The as-reported biosensor shows a great promise to develop easily disposable glucose biosensor for wearable healthcare system.
