Abstract

99mTc—PYP scintigraphy has been used for diagnos-
ing transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis. However, its

quantitative analysis has not been fully established. We
aimed to examine the SUVs in the heart, aorta, and
lungs using SPECT/CT images, and compared them
with the conventional visual assessment. SUVmean in the
heart was higher in the amyloidosis group than in the
non amyloidosis group. Compared with SUVmean in the
heart, the ratio of SUVmean in the heart and aorta

(SUVratio(H/Ao))provided us a better cut—off for diagnos-
ing cardiac amyloidosis.
