Abstract

Zhao et al. demonstrate that skeletal muscle progenitors and fetal muscle stem cells are time-dependently generated from hiPSCs in early and later stages of differentiation. The fetal muscle stem cells show better muscle regeneration potential and muscle function recovery in a mouse model of muscular dystrophy.
