Abstract
7 cases with melanosis faciei feminae visited our clinic from December 1981 to November 1982. 5 cases out of the 7 cases were patch tested with the cosmetics which they had used and 137 allergens which were thought to be contained in these cosmetics. 2 cases out of patch tested 5 cases showed positive reactions to cosmetics and both of 2 cases reacted to tar dyes R-219 and PAN. Benzyl salicylate was reacted, too. But Irg CF3 was not reacted in any case. In the cases which were caused by the chemicals except cosmetics, we should have coresearch with labor hygienists and social doctors.
