N2 - Objectives: The goal of this study was to study the efficacy of endoscopic assistance in the clipping of aneurysms. Methods: A study was conducted on all aneurysms operated in the department from 1998-2006, with endoscopic assistance, comparing it retrospectively with the visibility, surgical manoeuvrability and final results. Results: Position, size and shape of the clip, degree of tip angulation etc., along with accurate visualisation of the rear part of the aneurysmal anatomy was possible with the aid of a neuroendoscope, which assisted in flawless placement of the clip. Conclusion: Neuroendoscope assisted microneurosurgical clipping of aneurysms has revolutionised the management of aneurysms, principally the giant and complicated aneurysms.
