Abstract

From December 16, 1966, to December 31, 2019, more than 60,000 pancreas transplants have been reported to the IPTR, including 34,133 from the USA and 27,119 from outside the USA (Fig. 1) [1]. In Asian countries, 1305 pancreas transplantations were underwent in Korea (739 cases), Japan (410 cases), and Taiwan (156 case) from 1992. The mean patient and graft survival were 95% and 88% at 1 yr and 90% and 85% at 5 yr in this region.
