Abstract
Seven cases of parapharyngeal space tumors treated between July 1987 and June 1997 were studied clinically. Histologically, 2 cases were pleomorphic adenomas, 2 were adenoid cystic carcinomas, and one was a schwannoma, one a monomorphic adenoma and one a dermoid cyst. Tumors were removed either via a cervical approach or a transparotid approach. We discuss the choice of surgical approach including mandibular osteotomy.
