Abstract

Due to sophisticated procedures and precise control of reagent addition, current commercial competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) measuring the cortisol level in body fluid consumes considerable time over 1 hour. In order to solve these problems, such as long analytical time, and large apparatus, we fabricated a portable rapid ELISA system, which has electrospun polystyrene (PS) microfibrous reactor based on microfluidics, instead of a typical PS 96-well microplate. The system can bring anywhere and the whole procedure from beginning to data collection takes only 15min.
