Abstract
Recent years have seen dramatic developments in extracorporeal ultrasonography: Color, including-power Doppler ultrasonography, ultrasonography angiography, harmonic imaging (tissue harmonic imaging and contrast harmonic imaging) and 3-dimensional ultrasonography (including virtualendoscopy). In this report, we describe the present situation and the prospective outlook for these new diagnostic modalities mainly on the basis of our own experiences.
