Abstract
The characteristics of the scatter component in transmission computed tomography (TCT) scans are evaluated based on the measured regional energy spectrum. The TEW method is confirmed to be useful for scatter compensation in simultaneous scans. In this system, 3-D absolute activity distributions are measured in a brain phantom study.
