N2 - Some new 5’-triphosphate derivatives of 2',3'-dideoxy-5-styryluridine analogues have been synthesized and examined for their inhibitory effects on retroviral reverse transcriptases and eukaryotic DNA polymerases. We describe here the mode of inhibition and the influence of the substituent at the 5-position of uracil ring of 2',3’-dideoxyUTP analogues.
