Abstract

The present study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of FK506 in mongrel dogs by using a segmental pancreas allograft model with total pancreatectomy. FK506 effected a significant prolongation of graft survival of segmental pancreas allografts in mongrel dogs. Further studies of the toxicity and treatment doses of this drug are needed.
