Abstract

Five patients with aspiration pneumonia had undergone PTEG-Feeding, and eight patients with ileus caused by carcinomatous peritonitis and one patient with idiopathic esophageal rupture had undergone PTEG-Drainage. All cases were successfully performed without major complications. PTEG-F can be created for patients in whom it is difficult to create percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy such as patients with total or partial gasterectomy. PTEG-D could be obviously improved the QOL of the patients who had been inserted nasoileus tube.
