Abstract

The usefulness of tissue harmonic imaging (THI) and power Doppler imaging (PDI) for characterization of the pancreatic neoplasma is presented. Twenty-seven patients with pancreatic neoplasma, including 14 cases of the carcinoma, 2 cases of the endocrine tumor, and 8 cases of the mucinous cystic tumor were examined with power Doppler system. Result indicates that THI and PDI are useful for differential diagnosis of pancreatic mass and preoperative assessment of tumor extension in relatively advanced cancer.
