Abstract

Patients complicated with chronic subdural hematoma by an acute subdural hematoma under its capsule may need craniotomy. However, it is difficult to decide the timing for craniotomy. In the present case, we confirmed an acute subdural hematoma under the capsule of a chronic subdural hematoma by neuroendoscopic observation. Neuroendoscopy of a multi-layered chronic subdural hematoma is a useful method to achieve a detailed observation of an acute subdural hematoma under the capsule.
