ルリコナゾールによる接触皮膚炎の 1 例

A female in her fifties used Lulicon^®R ointment to treat athlete’s foot, and many small blisters developed in the same region on both the hands and legs. Patch testing was performed for the ingredients of Lulicon^®R ointment. Based on the positive reaction to luliconazole, the patient was diagnosed with contact dermatitis caused by luliconazole. Luliconazole is an antimycotic agent belonging to vinyl imidazoles, and there is a possibility of cross-reactions with other topical imidazole agents. Due to the increased use of over-the-counter topical antifungal agents, there are more opportunities for sensitization to imidazoles and associated risk of allergic contact dermatitis mediated by their cross-reactions.
