N2 - An 11-month-old girl presented with nodules on the back of the distal part of her right ring finger. The nodules appeared during the first month after birth and continued to grow in size. Histopathological findings showed intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies within proliferated fibroblasts. We diagnosed the patient as infantile digital fibromatosis. The growth of the finger proceeded normally, and that there was no evidence of any dysfunction. One year later, the nodules had disappeared completely without any treatment. Conservative, expectant observation is reasonable, because of the tendency of the nodules to spontaneously regress. However, lesions may cause functional impairment, thereby warranting therapeutic intervention. Because infantile digital fibromatosis is a rare form of tumor, dermatologists should be more aware of this disease in order to provide adequate information to worried parents about available treatments and disease course.
