Contact Dermatitis with Topical Medicaments

6600 patients with skin diseases had visited our clinic and 133 patients out of them suffered from topical medicaments contact dermatitis. Causative remedies were anti-fungous (37%) corticosteroidals (16.1%), eye lotions (8.8%). acne ointments, stupes, disinfectants and so on in accordance with the numbers of cases. The ways with which patients had taken the remedies causing contact dermatitis were doctor's recipes (53.3%), over the counters (37.6%) and souvenirs (4. 5%). The patch test positive rate with ingredients of topical medicaments were as follow. Hydrogenated lanolin 37. 5%, lanolin alcohol 25.0%, chlorhexidine 33.3% and neomycin 20.0%.
