抄録

The Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy (JSDT) has notified researchers not to use the term “prospective” for studies using the JSDT Renal Data Registry in March 2025. In addition, the authors recognise that the current Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (STROBE) statement recommends avoiding the terms "prospective" and "retrospective" and instead encourages researchers to explicitly describe their data collection process, which the authors had described in their respective articles. In light of these considerations, the authors request a correction to their use of the term "prospective cohort study," to “nation-wide cohort study” in the Methods section of their respective articles.
