抄録

The microalgae cell is regarded as a potential source of renewable fuel due to its high capability to fix carbon dioxide from the environment. Most microalgae cells can produce many products such as carbohydrates, which can be converted into ethanol fuel after fermentation. In this study, a method for producing carbohydrate substance from microalgae cell by providing inorganic medium is being established based on microfluidic technology. The experimental results showed that this microdevice was able to culture microalgae cell and production about 2 μg/day carbohydrates can be measured from the outlet, which exceeds 10 times than conventional methods.
