N2 - Recent advances in computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging such as the multidetector-row CT system, the parallel imaging technique, new sequences and software provide new reconstructed CT images and new MR imaging for diagnosis of TNM staging and assessment of pulmonary function. In this review, we describe recent advances in MR imaging of lung cancer, focusing on (1) characterization of solitary pulmonary nodules and differentiation of subtypes of adenocarcinoma; (2) assessment of T-, N-, M-stage, and (3) pulmonary functional MR imaging.
