One Hundred Sixty Nine Cases with Rosacea-lilce Dermatitis

We investigated 169 cases with rosacea like dermatitis about their age of onset, causative topical applications, motives of starting to use of topical corticosteroids, treatment and clinical courses. Patch tests with their cosmetics and standard allergens as well as topical corticosteroidal and nonsteroidal agents were performed. These conclusions were come out. 1) The patients with rosacea like dermatitis were increased in recent years, and the ages of the patients were extended to lower ages as teens. 2) To identify the allergens causing contact dermatitis is an important guide to treat the rosacea like dermatitis, since 32 out of 63 (50. 79%) cases with unknown dermatitis were positively reacted to their cosmetics, and 47 out of 69 (68.1%) patch tested patients to standard allergens. 3) We assumed the satisfactory well prognosis could be obtained without admission if apropriate treatment and good control of environmental worsening factors were achieved.
