In nuclear medicine facilities, appropriate procurement and storage of radiopharmaceutical-related materials are essential for safe and reliable clinical operations. While centralized Supply, Processing, and Distribution (SPD) systems are commonly used for medical supply management, such systems are not universally available, particularly in newly established or specialized radiopharmaceutical facilities. This report describes an operational redesign of medical supply management implemented in a hospital without an SPD system, focusing on materials used in radiopharmaceutical production and nuclear medicine operations that require strict temperature control. The redesigned workflow introduced classification of supplies into room-temperature, refrigerated, and frozen categories; clarified responsibility for receipt by administrative staff; and standardized communication pathways at the time of delivery. Following implementation, handling errors related to storage conditions were reduced and communication delays were minimized. This practical approach demonstrates that safe and efficient management of radiopharmaceutical-related supplies can be achieved without centralized SPD infrastructure through simple, risk-based operational design.
