抄録
We report two cases of mamushi (Agkistrodon halys) viper bite occurred on the next day following passage of a typhoon. Case 1 was a 65-year-old man, whose right third finger was bitten by a mamushi during working in a farm. Relaxation incision of the finger and intravenous drip infusions of mamushi anti-toxin equine serum and betamethasone successfully treated him. Case 2 was a 64-year-old man, whose left hand was bitten by a mamushi when he sat on a roadside while collecting honeycombs. Since he showed a strong positive reaction to the mamushi antitoxin equine serum with intracuttaneous test, no anti-toxin was used. He was also successfully treated with intravenous drip infusion of betamethasone.
